Little Red Riding Hood
This has to be one of the best banking office stories I've heard for awhile…
The office was celebrating Halloween by all of the tellers and platform people getting dressed up in costume. The head teller, who was looking for retirement in another 8 years, was really in the spirit of this activity, and got some material, and made herself into Little Red Riding Hood.
As part of the day's activities, they were also providing cider and gingersnaps for their customers who came in. Little Red Riding Hood had cider and cookies in her hands when she came in the door of the banking office that morning.
She was so busy juggling all she was carrying and working on not stepping on her costume hem, that she forgot to turn off the alarm. Sure enough, the telephone rang, and a police department (through code) informed her they had gotten the alarm and help was on the way.
She was terribly embarrassed, and assured the officer on the telephone that she had just forgotten to turn off the alarm when she came in, because she was so busy.
"That's quite all right, Ma'am, we understand. Now the officers are outside. Please go out with nothing in your hands and call out to them. What are you wearing so we can describe you to them?"
Can you imagine the rest of this story? !
