Helping The Bank To Say 'Yes'
Premier Bank in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has a new way of communicating with small businesses.
It had a company by the name of The InMar Group Inc. out of San Antonio develop a software program called "Money-How to Help a Banker Say Yes!"
Premier then sends the PC diskette with the program to small businesses. It explains the procedure for accumulating information for loans, and also gives details on the bank's range of products.
Part of the program is an actual loan application that can be filled out by the prospective small business customer. He can then print it out and send it to the bank.
The marketing target of the diskette are businesses with under $5 million in annual sales and to those with borrowing needs of less than $300,000
By allowing the small business owners to learn (in privacy and at their own convenience) about managing cash flow and other factors that bankers take into consideration, Premier feels it is meeting their needs more directly.
As an added "bonus" to the diskette, Premier also added a golf game into the software.
