"Nothing Beats A Great Pair Of…"
The two bank robbers had probably assumed they could hide their identity by pulling panty hose over their heads and faces. So they decided to use this type of disguise when they set out to rob a southern bank.
Even with their no-nonsense approach, use of the stockings was a fore-runner of problems.
The first fellow to appear had pulled the stockings down so far that he had his face all the way into the leg of the pantyhose, so that one leg was hanging down on his shoulder, and the other leg and foot were hanging over his head like a floppy rabbit ear. And because he had his face into the translucent part of the stocking, it did not disguise him at all-the video camera picture of him was sheer elegance.
The other fellow, perhaps being a gentleman, preferred to put some thought and preparation into this procedure. He cut both legs off his pair of pantyhose and tied knots where he had cut them. When he pulled the waistband over his head, the knots stood up like a pair of dog ears.
The problem with his was that the light support panel on the front of the pantyhose, just below the waistband, was over his face and he couldn't see! He had to pull his face-cover up in order to command the teller to "Fill this bag!" before he yanked it back down-which gave the camera ample time to record his face also.
Both robbers were identified and caught.
