Wherever They Go
First Union Corporation out of Charlotte, NC, is one of the first financial institutions in the country to offer its eight million customers the possibility to do business in any branch of the corporation in any of seven southeastern states.
The basis of this service is a common computer system used by First Union's 50 interstate banks.
It is estimated that as many as over two million of their customers do business in more than one state, and will take advantage of this new service capability.
