New Twist

We've had an update on our ever-patient con artists from Nigeria.

They're still trying to get account numbers and "good faith" money. But our Advisor, Dan Brooker, from the National Fraud Investigation Center, says there is now a new twist.

A letter from Dr. Bello Muhammed still promises they will transfer thirty seven million, five hundred thousand ($37,500,000) to your account-70% of which will be theirs, 10% reserved for taxes, and 20% left in your account for you. But this paragraph has now been added to their letter from Nigeria:

"…It may interest you to know that in 1994 a similar transaction was carried out with one Signore Paolo Luigi, A Director of Milano Construczione S.P.A. in Treviso-Italy with telephone number 39-49-8645031. After the agreement between us in which he was to take 10% of the total sum, 80% for us and 10% for taxes and miscellaneous. The documents were signed by him and the funds was duly transferred into his account. We were disappointed on our arrival in Italy to discover that Signore Paolo Luigi was no where to be found. This was how we lost 28.7 million USD.

"This time around we need a reliable and trustworthy person or a reputable company to do business with hence this letter to you, so if you can prove yourself to be trusted and interested in this deal then we are prepared to do business with you. What we want from you is the assurance that you will let us have our share if the recent inflated amount of $37,500,000 is transferred into your account."

(Ed. note: Anyone who would like Dr. Muhammed's telephone number in Nigeria can give our office a call!)
