Union Bank of California (UBOC) is using the Internet to reach the female market. They've linked themselves directly to a site called women.com that provides information for women, ranging from home and child care tips to career advice.
By clicking on the bank's icon at the site, a customer can get financial information on everything from stocks to credit card advice. Then, when they need to conduct banking, they can enter a special UBOC bank site set up for women that is linked via a secure, 128-bit encryption to women.com.
