Question & Answer

Question: We just had a store owner customer who opened a second store at a different location. We're now getting deposits from that store as well as the original one, using the same account number, and the same tax identification number. Do we have to file again for exemption?

Answer: We went to FinCEN for the answer. No, you don't. As long as they are using the same tax ID, you're fine with the exemption you already have.
