Rewarding Entrepreneurs

A Georgia bank is among sponsors of what is billed as the largest ever new business contest in that state. Wachovia Bank lent its support to the New Enterprise 2000 Award, which gave out $65,000 in cash and business services as prizes for entrepreneurs with good ideas on how to start a technology business. The top award winner will get $50,000.

The program runs through December 15, 1999, after which five finalists will be chosen to present their ideas to a panel of judges who are players in Atlanta's high-tech community.
