Internet Check Payments
Equifax has allied itself with Intell-A-Check to create a service that allows Internet retailers to offer customers the option of paying for goods by check online.
The new service offers identify verification through Equifax's own authorization services, a one-to-three-second approval process, and options of a check draft or an automated clearing house settlement to the merchant.
To use the service, a merchant uses the Intell-A-Check software to create a "draft" online from information customers provide using secure sockets layer technology. The draft can either be printed by the merchant or output as an ACH file for sending directly to the merchant's bank.
