A Commitment to Community

Citizens Bank, Pittsburgh, PA, has promised $2.5 million to Hosanna House, a Wilkinsburg, PA-based organization that provides health and human resources help to the disadvantaged. Hosanna House was founded in 1987 and has served nearly 100,000 people by providing education, youth services, help for recovery from addiction, family support, health services, job training, and more.

But Citizens' commitment to Hosanna and community efforts goes beyond its deep pockets. The bank is also working closely with Hosanna House to come up with ways its own bank employees can assist in the organization's efforts. The bank also started a program recently that will allow one employee per quarter to take a three-month paid leave of absence to work at a community-based nonprofit organization.
