Check cards have joined the ranks of cookies, bicycles and cars by being offered in miniature size. Bank of America is offering a mini check card about half the size of a credit card that can be attached to a key chain, eliminating the need for customers to carry wallets and purses. The bank already offers its credit cards in mini-size. By the end of 2003, the bank will have issued 11 million mini-cards. Both the credit and check cards are accepted at Visa locations and both offer the security feature of the cardholder's picture on the front.
