Sovereign Bank, Camp Hill, Penn., announced a $150,000, three-year commitment to Second Mile, an organization that promotes leadership in youth. Among the projects the money will support is a yearly statewide leadership institute. Schools select five student leaders and a faculty mentor to send to the institute and that team is given the task of coming up with a community service project that will improve their school or community. Once the institute is concluded, the student teams lead their fellow students in implementing the projects.
