"Avon" Calling
Bank One Corp. has joined forces with makeup giant Avon Products to offer what may be the first credit card bonus program that allows cardholders to earn points towards beauty products.
Customers get a $25 Avon gift certificate for every $2,500 they charge to the card. As an extra incentive for using the card, new customers get a $25 Avon moisturizer after they've made their first purchase. Avon salespeople also earn $25 every time they get one of their customers to apply for a card.
