Biometrics as Passwords
A Texas bank has eliminated what information technology folks will tell you is a major pain - password management - by using Biometrics to validate the identity of its employees.
Employees at First National Bank Group, Inc., a $2 billion bank with branches throughout the state, must use their fingerprints to gain access to the bank's many network applications. The system eliminates the requirement that employees keep their passwords safe or change them periodically.
