Socially Responsible Investing
First National Bank & Trust, Kokomo, Ind. also has teamed with investment company Prentiss Smith and Company, Inc. to create a fund designed to meet certain socially responsible criteria. The fund is being marketed to both consumers and foundations. It invests only in companies that: 1) conduct their business operations with respect for the environment, 2) provide equal promotion opportunities and fair wages for employees, 3) show respect for human rights, and 3) create products or provide services that enhance the quality of life.
