Help For Victims of ID Theft
You may want to let your depositors know that ID Theft Assist, a program that provides third-party assistance for victims of identity theft, is now available directly to consumers. Up until now, the program was only available through sponsoring organizations.
ID Theft Assist offers a wide range of support services for dealing with both the emotional and practical aspects of identity theft. These services include creditor and reporting agency notification and law enforcement alert. The program also offers cash advances and translation services for victims traveling away from home, legal document review and consultation, and a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week Emergency Response Center.
