Hello - Police?
The younger of two robbers waited in the get-away car outside the bank in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
The older man put on a motorcycle helmet and held up the bank. When he turned to go, a customer tackled him, and they proceeded to have a wrestling match on the ground.
The customer, who was an off-duty sheriff, yelled to bystanders to call 911 - but nobody had a phone but the sheriff - who was pretty busy. The young fellow in the car called out that if the sheriff would throw him the cell phone, he'd make the call ... which he did!
Both the robber and his cooperative young accomplice in the car were arrested when police arrived.
(Thanks to Jim LeBlanc, East Boston Savings Bank, for this one)
