Comerica Bank, Detroit, Michigan, is helping its small businesses in another way: by hosting a seminar designed specifically to teach them how to avoid common frauds. The bank's workshop featured bank security officials who focused on identity theft and other common fraud schemes, internal weaknesses and possible internal thefts, how to protect accounts from forged or counterfeit checks, and what to do when fraud occurs. The fraud seminar is part of a series of workshops the bank has developed for its small business owner customers.
