Bank Sponsors Miss Louisiana Pageant
In support of women in its home state, Hibernia National Bank put its money behind the Miss Louisiana pageant, as well as towards women in a special state science and math program. Hibernia sponsored the broadcast of the pageant and awarded scholarship funds to the organization that runs that contest. At the same press conference announcing its support to the pageant, the bank also presented "Star Achiever" awards to three of the top female scholars from the New Orleans Center for Science and Math, the city's math and science magnet high school. The bank then gave rare vault tours to all winners.
