Check Cashing at the Machine
A credit union in Utah is offering its members check cashing at its automated teller machines. The image-based system allows members of America First Credit Union to deposit a check and get cash back at the same time. A year and a half after the program was launched at three machines, they were cashing 200 checks a day. The service is free and will soon be available at all 85 of the credit union's machines.
