ALERT FOR BANKERS' HOTLINE SUBSCRIBERS
A nationwide demonstration on Friday, October 8, is being advertised by the "Organizers of the Boycott For Equality". Part of their plan is for straight and gay supporters to each withdraw $80 from their local ATM. That amount, they say, represents the amount the average member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community contributes to the US economy each day - approximately $1.4 billion.
The boycott leaders expect the withdrawal of this cash by their numbers will exhaust the cash in many ATMs at the beginning of a long weekend. (Columbus Day is Monday, October 11.)
You may want to take this boycott into consideration when servicing your ATMs before or during that weekend.
