Edie Gets a Facelift
An updated version of the Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator is now available, according to FDIC. EDIE Banker Version 2.0 was developed in response to comments and suggestions from bankers who are frequent users of the original EDIE released in December 2002.
EDIE helps bankers provide accurate information about deposit insurance coverage to consumers, and the updated version incorporates the recent changes to the living trust regulations and can also be used to calculate insurance coverage for accounts held by businesses and organizations.
EDIE-BC2.0 is available via download from the FDIC Web site. It doesn't require Internet connection to operate. Once loaded onto a bank's intranet, EDIE can be used simultaneously by multiple users throughout the organization. EDIE-BV2.0 is also available via CD-ROM for financial institutions that do not have access to the Internet
