Fighting Fraud from the Desktop
Investigators at the public and private level have a valuable new tool available in their fight against crime, fraud and terrorism. Xanalys Corporation, a software company that develops investigative software for financial institutions and law enforcement, has debuted a new system that combines the most advanced investigation techniques with some of the world's best information retrieval and management technology.
The new software allows corporate fraud investigators and law enforcement the ability to gather and organize information from multiple sources such as phone logs, email, word processing documents, invoices, applications, data bases and web services. It gives investigators a powerful new tool that will link people to phone calls, addresses to emails and invoices, and find interactive links between criminals involved in fraud, terrorism and other illegal activities. The new system also creates a mapping and sharing network among different types of computers and across geographical and technical boundaries.
