Capturing the Image at the Teller Line
Tellers may soon have a tool that frees them from the need to capture check information or validate checks at the teller line. Artificial Intelligence & Image Analysis and VSoft have partnered and will be offering a product to banks that captures a check image at the point of presentment, analyzes the check to detect missing fields and captures information for processing from check fields whether or not the information is handwritten. The check-reader automatically recognizes whole words, both cursive and machine printed - as well as reads information character by character. It also can read deposit slips.
