Shoulda' Checked Both Sides of the Street
Bank One employees in Butler, Wisconsin must have been surprised to see 28 year old Andres Torres come in and rob their bank. Most robbers would have taken a good look first and noticed that the branch was right across the street from the local police station.
Torres went into the bank with a black T-shirt over his head, and blue sunglasses on, holding a handgun. He told police later he intended to rob a different bank, but changed his mind and drove around looking for another banking office. He said he didn't notice the police station. His failure to "case" the office could cost him 45 years in jail.
