Filing By Touch
by Barbara Hurst, BOL GuruGuru Bios
A company that bills itself as a resource for incorporating technology into product design is marketing a file cabinet that is accessible by fingerprint recognition technology.
A built-in fingerprint sensor in Glide Inc.'s file cabinet allows access to locked drawers. Users are registered via a desktop computer or PDA running the company's proprietary software and can be operated across a room using a Bluetooth wireless link.
