Notary Requirement for Past Due Boxes
Question: Can we use our Diebold locksmith as the required notary when we drill and inventory past due boxes?
Answer: If your state's safe deposit regulation requires an outside notary to perform this service, having your Diebold locksmith provide this service is a very common practice nationwide. Usually the safe deposit regulation says the notary cannot be an employee or officer of the financial institution. Diebold would be considered an outside, independent contractor who is not on your financial institution's payroll.
