Free Online Bill Paying
Washington Mutual, Inc., Seattle, WA, took its free consumer services to a new level recently by dropping its fee for bill paying. The free service is the latest enhancement to the bank's free checking account, which also offers free identity theft services and a check card that can be tied to a school that receives credit when the card is used. The bill-paying service includes a guarantee that payments will be timely if bill payment is set up for five days before due date and other conditions are met.
