Partnering With Community Group
Citigroup announced that it is partnering with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) to tackle a joint goal of reaching out to low- and moderate-income, underserved consumers across the country. The bank and ACORN have agreed to collaborate on a number of initiatives, including programs to provide affordable mortgage lending; expand access to the Earned Income Tax Credit and to Citibank's low or no-cost accounts; expand financial education for low- and moderate-income communities; provide community development lending; and provide borrowers access to the best combination of loan product, price, service and benefits.
