A Month of Good Works
JPMorgan Chase's annual Global Days of Service expanded to the state of Michigan this year after the bank merged with Bank One Corporation. Global Days of Services, which is in its 10th year, sets aside the month of October to help others. This year volunteers participated in more than 1,300 projects in 300 cities worldwide. In Michigan, for example, hundreds of employees raised money for the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. They also created their own local projects, which tapped into the bank's grant program to support a wide variety of activities from collecting supplies for a women's survival center to helping a local elementary school build a playground to packing holiday food boxes.
