MICR Printers for Retail Use
Source Technologies recently announced that it is offering to the retail, restaurant and securities industries the same types of MICR laser printers used by banks. The low-cost printers allow those industries to print checks at remote locations, but manage payments at a central location. For example, securities offices could manage payments at headquarters but print checks for customers in satellite offices. The printers use the same check fraud protection layers found in banking solutions including password protection, drawer and front panel locks, toner detection and security fonts.
