Great Disguise
Gordon Bryant decided he'd hold up the Farmer's State Bank of Versailles, Illinois. As he had already been convicted and served time for bank robbery, he wanted to be sure this time that bank employees would not be able to identify him. So he pulled a stocking over his head, covering his face, before he approached the buzz-in door of the bank.
When employees inside saw the would-be robber buzzing for admittance - guess what? They didn't buzz him in. They called the police instead.
Duh!
Bryant has been charged with attempted bank robbery, which in Illinois carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
