Negotiating Rates on IRA
Question: Is it permissible to negotiate rates on IRA accounts? We'd like to do so for a particular customer, but one of our officers says we can't negotiate IRA rates.
Answer: There is no prohibition against an institution negotiating rates on an IRA. You can if you choose to do so.
