U.S. Bank recently announced that it has opened the first bank branch within Las Americas, a $300 million retail, entertainment and cultural destination on the border between California and Mexico. The first-ever privately funded port of entry is a 1.4 million-square-foot multicultural mixed-used project on 66 acres designed to cater to both U.S. and Mexican citizens.
U.S. Bank's branch, which will be open seven days a week, will allow Las Americas employees to make change and deposits without leaving the site. All branch employees are bilingual and residents of San Ysidro, CA, the border town where the complex is located.
