Telephone calls are now being used as an extra layer of protection for online transactions. Authentify offers a software system that pops up on an organization's screen under specified circumstances to require an organization to make a quick call to identify the legitimacy of a transaction. The system works automatically when a person attempting an online transaction logs onto a site. It can be set up for cases such as when a large banking transfer is made in the middle of the night for an account used in the past to primarily check account balances.
