AmSouth Bank in Florida shows its commitment to the communities it serves by taking to the streets during "Do More Than Expected Week." The bank sets aside a week to conduct random acts of kindness such as buying coffee or gasoline for customers, providing free admission to local attractions for children, hosting customer appreciation cook outs, and washing peoples' cars. The bank also makes some not-so-random plans for the week such as providing financing for affordable homes, helping communities fix up centers, holding financial literacy programs, conducting a food bank drive, and providing scholarships to a summer camp program.
