Walk - Don't Run…And Carry a Bag
When a man comes running out the front door of a bank with a wad of cash in his hand, dropping bills as he ran, he tends to attract attention.
Witnesses approaching the bank who saw him watched as he boarded a public bus when it stopped at the corner.
They were easily able to describe to police what he looked like and where he went. The bus was stopped almost immediately, and the cash was discovered under his seat.
Bank employees, meantime, had given a description to police investigating at the bank, and after confirmation by police radio of his description, the hapless thief was identified and arrested.
Full recovery was made. He evidently paid his own bus fare with change.
