Training Trainers about Finance
Capitol One continued a 4-year partnership with Consumer Action to provide financial training to 40 non-profit community groups in the West that will, in turn, teach their communities financial management. The training seminars teach community group members how to educate people in six areas: basic banking, budgeting, understanding credit, credit repair, understanding bankruptcy, and talking to teens about money. Community group members attend a two-day seminar that also gives them tips about how to teach and fills them in on some of the hot topics in finance today such as identity theft.
