Needed Better Weapons
The two German bank robbers were evidently nervous, for in the middle of their branch takeover the one holding the gun dropped it on the floor. A sharp-eyed customer close by looked at it and blurted out, "It's a fake gun!"
The embarrassed robber picked up the gun and he and his partner ran out empty-handed, dropping another gun on the way, which they left behind.
The gun they left behind was real - but when tested by police, would not fire.
