That's a Big Pig
Capital One Financial wrapped up a financial education program by auctioning off several giant piggy banks to benefit the District of Columbia public school system. The 4-foot-tall piggy banks weighed 750 pounds each and were hand-painted by local artists and D.C. students. They were placed at local schools and on street corners for six weeks before the auction, which was the culmination of the Stash Your Cash education program. That program introduced local middle school-aged students to basic money management skills with an emphasis on saving for the future.
