Submitting HMDA Data
When submitting HMDA data, you must use 3.5" diskettes. The old 5.25" diskettes are out. So if you still have one of those really old computers that uses 5.25" diskettes, it's time to go shopping for a new computer. Besides, the old one probably isn't Year 2000 compliant.
You can also submit your reports over the Internet. Address them to HMDASUB@FRB.GOV. The FRB will confirm that it has received the report within 48 hours. If you use this option (which saves a trip to the mail room) be sure to prepare and keep a signed copy of the Transmittal Sheet.
Finally, keep copies of whatever you send, regardless of how you send it.
