Insured or Not: FDIC's Customer Guide
FDIC reminds institutions that the brochure, "Insured or Not Insured; A Guide to What Is and Is Not Protected by FDIC Insurance" is available to banks for their customers. The brochures are designed to explain the difference between insured deposits and non-insured products such as mutual funds. Any bank offering non-deposit investment products should have this brochure available for its customers.
At present, the brochures are free (while the current supply lasts) so take advantage of this and order a supply now from: FDIC, Warehouse and Distribution Center, 3501 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington VA 22226. The brochure is also available in Spanish.
