Internet Privacy Statements
The U.S. government runs a consumer information center out of Pueblo, Colorado. If you are in the inner circle of such things, you simply say "Pueblo" and expect others to know that you are referring to the largest source of high quality free information in the country.
The Pueblo information center now makes much of the information available over the Internet. The center has a privacy statement that is designed to explain privacy issues to members of the public. It is clearly written, covers the important issues, and even explains how "cookies" function. If you are working on your bank's privacy statement, it is worth looking at this one to see how the government did it. Remember, anything issued by the U.S. government is free for the taking. Your tax money has already paid for it!
