Promoting Electronic Deposits
There is help available from the Department of Treasury's Financial Management Service ("FMS"). They have tools that can help your bank promote electronic deposit of government checks, including brochures and fact sheets. They even have buttons that say "Ask me about DIRECT DEPOSIT." The information is designed to explain the benefits of electronic deposits to customers. Consider using these tools on days when social security checks come in.
