Do Not Call List: Summer's Hot Item!
One of the hottest items of interest to consumers isn't for sale. In fact, it is just the opposite. The hot item is FTC's "Do Not Call" list. Registration for locations west of the Mississippi is underway and the FTC is literally deluged with a flood of requests. Registration for consumers located east of the Mississippi should begin on or shortly after July 7, 2003.
If your customers don't know about this, you can be the one to tell them. Put up a sign in your lobby and give customers the FTC's website address. It is as simple as www.ftc.gov. The Do Not Call registry is on the main page.
Telemarketer compliance with the registry begins on October 1, 2003. Ah, silence!
