FCRA disclosure forms
Question: Where can I get forms to make FCRA disclosures to consumers when we decide not to open an account?
Answer: Forms are available from many sources. Sometimes you can find some in Adobe Acrobat form on the Internet. Check regulatory sites to see what is available for free. If you find you need to go forms shopping, ask around to find the forms and the price that are right for you. Other financial institutions may be able to save you some time by telling you where they get their forms. Or you can always go to BankersOnline and check out the sponsors and the bankers store.
One word of caution: don't simply copy someone else's form. You should always make sure that the form is right for your institution - including such fun little details as naming the right regulator. Also, don't steal anything. If a form is copyrighted, play fair.
