FACTA Prohibits Information Suppression
The new act contains some interesting provisions that should help consumers. First, it prohibits any agreements that prevent a user of credit bureau score from disclosing or sharing that score with the consumer.
Second, if the system scores number or inquiries, the disclosures may not suppress that fact. In short, if inquiries are scored, the factor must be disclosed.
