FDIC Goes E-Mail

FDIC is shutting down their paper-based system of mailing information to banks. The FILs, alerts and other mailings will be sent by e-mail only. If you haven't signed up for e-mail delivery, go to the FDIC's website at www.fdic.gov and sign up. It's free.

E-mailings are also available from most other government agencies, including OTS, OCC, the FRB, FEMA and more. It's a fast, easy way to get information and it may become the primary way. If you don't want a lot of e-mail, you can always rely on BankersOnline to keep you up to date.
