More Scams using FDIC
It's a measure of how much we value FDIC deposit insurance. There is yet another e-mail scam using consumer concern about their FDIC insurance. The latest version has an e-mail that purports to come from the FDIC. It doesn't.
The e-mail advises the recipient that the FDIC together with credit card companies has launched a program for securing cards against fraud. Just click here, advises the e-mail, and you can guess what happens next.
The real FDIC wants you to advise all your customers that they should not click and respond to these e-spams. Doing so may give identity thieves just what they are looking for.
