Compliance Award Goes to Chuck Lewis
The 2004 ABA Compliance Executive Committee's Distinguished Service Award was presented to Chuck Lewis, President of UMB Consulting Services. Chuck has long been a leader and mentor in the field of compliance. Having been a compliance manager for UMB for 21 years, Chuck has worked with small, medium and large bank challenges. He has managed compliance through acquisitions of United Missouri Bank and, for the past decade, also provided compliance support to other banks through UMB Consulting Services. At the same time, Chuck provided support to ABA by serving on the Compliance Executive Committee, speaking at ABA conferences, and participating in the development of the CRCM program.
Chuck excels as a compliance professional and has a national following for his teaching skills. On top of all that, Chuck is the master of compliance humor, lending a lighter touch to difficult problems and putting things into perspective. The award is well deserved. Congratulations, Chuck!
